A pair of antique German Religious prayer books from the family of Lenore Franklin, wife of Robert Morrison (son of Cleveland Maritime entrepreneur Frank Morrison). One book measures 4 1/4” x 2 3/4” with German print and embossed cross cover, Michael Ruffing Bismark penciled in the front, missing pages 49 to 82, pages # 83 to 480 intact, scattered tears and marks to the pages with a repaired spine. The larger book measures 5 3/4” x 3 1/2” with embossed cross cover that is separated from the book as shown, “This book belongs to Mrs. Paul Franklin” (Mother’s prayer book) inked, several prayer pamphlets are tucked in the pages, the 319 page prayer book is printed in German with scattered age and wear to the materials.
